Mindfulness - is a practice of having awareness in the present moment, a practice of being conscious to what is... Mindfulness involves using our senses - smell, taste, touch, sight and sound to observe ourselves, our environment and the relationship between the two. When you practice Mindfulness, you become the observer of your mind, your thoughts, your feelings and your actions. Mindfulness can help reduce stress and anxiety, as it is able to give us a glimpse into understanding ourselves on a deeper level. Learning to understand who, what, when, where and why and how we do what we do, or our tendencies to react in certain ways can play a huge role in learning to love and accept ourselves. Mindfulness is often practiced with intention and attention to attitude.
An example of Mindfulness is...taking a moment as soon as you wake up in the morning to listen to the thoughts that are passing through your mind and tuning in to how those thoughts make you feel.

There are many forms and ways to practice meditation, such as moving meditation, sounds meditation and walking meditation. The most commonly known form of Meditation is silent mediation. Silent meditation can be practiced sitting in stillness with your eyes at a low gaze or closed, often focusing your attention on your breath as a way to begin to quiet the mind. Meditation can evoke many things such as memories, messages and ideas but more often than not brings a sense of peace and connection with self.
